7.2.1 – Describe two Institutional Best Practices

TITLE-1: BODY DONATION “A GIFT OF MANKIND TO SERVE MANKIND” 

Objectives:

  1. To remove religious misconceptions about rituals of funeral.
  2. To spread awareness about and encourage body donation in the society.

Practice:

Institute has started body donation program in 1991.Prior registration of body donation donor is required& I-card is issued to donor. After death the relatives of donors to contact us. We provide free ambulance service for accepting the corpse.

TITLE-2: HEALTH SCREENING OF SCHOOL/COLLEGE STUDENTS & STAFF     

Objectives:

  1. To screen for common health problems among school/college students and staff.
  2. To provide timely medical intervention and referral services.

Context: Schools and colleges offer ideal platform for early detection of preventable or undiagnosed health issues.

Practice: The Community Medicine department conducts planned health check-ups and refers beneficiaries requiring further care to the parent institute.
