Guidelines for Manuscript Publication Grant
Publication in NMC Indexed Journals | Dr. VPMCH & RC
Applicant Profile
Full-time teaching faculty (Assistant Professor and above) of the institute.
Authorship
Applicant must be the First Author in the manuscript.
Maximum Financial Assistance Provided
(Or the actual Article Processing Charges (APC), whichever is less)
Manuscripts must be accepted in journals indexed in the following databases as per latest NMC norms:
PubMed Central
Scopus
Web of Science
DOAJ
Note: Predatory journals are strictly not eligible. Indexing status must be valid at the time of acceptance.
- Frequency: Grant provided only once per academic year (1st August to 31st July).
- Scope: Applicable for Original Research Articles, Meta-analysis, and Systematic Reviews.
- APC Requirement: Applicable only if publication fees are charged by the journal.
- Institutional Affiliation: Authors must mention “Dr. VPMCH & RC” in the manuscript.
- Exclusions: Grammar checking, language editing, or plagiarism service costs are not covered.
- Ethics: Must have prior approval from the Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC).
- Refund: Grant must be refunded in case of retraction or ethical misconduct.
- Duly filled application form
- Copy of accepted/published manuscript
- Acceptance letter from the journal
- Proof of journal indexing
- Receipt of payment made to journal
- Plagiarism report (DrillBit)
- Institutional Ethics Committee Approval
Submit application & documents to the Department of Research within 30 days of publication/acceptance.
Department of Research verifies document authenticity and eligibility criteria.
The Research Coordinator reviews the manuscript indexing and plagiarism report.
Final sanction is granted by the Dean of the Institute.
