  1. 2. Goal & Objectives:-

At the end of the course of Dermatology, Sexually Transmitted Diseases & Leprosy the student shall be able to:

  1. Demonstrate sound knowledge of common diseases, their clinical manifestations including emergent situations and of investigative procedures to confirm their diagnosis.
  2. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of various modes of topical therapy.
  3. Demonstrate the mode of action of commonly used drugs, their doses, side effects / toxicity, indications and contraindication & interactions.
  4. Describe commonly used modes of management including the medical & Surgical procedures available for the treatment of various diseases and to offer a comparative plan of management for a given disorder.

PG

  1. 2. Goal & Objectives:- 
  • The purpose of PG education is to create specialists who would provide high quality healthcare and advance the cause of science through research & training.
  • A post graduate specialist having undergone the required training should be able to recognize the health needs of community, should be competent to handle effectively the medical problems and aware of recent advances pertaining to the discipline.
  • The PG student should acquire basic skills in teaching medical/para-medical students.
  • The student should be able to counsel patients and relatives in infectious diseases like HIV/AIDS, STDs, cutaneous tuberculosis, leprosy and any event of serious illness or death.
