Guidelines for Manuscript Publication Grant

Publication in NMC Indexed Journals | Dr. VPMCH & RC

Eligibility Criteria

Full-time teaching faculty (Assistant Professor and above) of the institute.

Applicant must be the First Author in the manuscript.

Financial Support

Maximum Financial Assistance Provided

₹ 5,000/-

(Or the actual Article Processing Charges (APC), whichever is less)

Eligible Journals & Indexing

Manuscripts must be accepted in journals indexed in the following databases as per latest NMC norms:

Medline
PubMed Central
Scopus
Web of Science
DOAJ

Note: Predatory journals are strictly not eligible. Indexing status must be valid at the time of acceptance.

Rules & Regulations

Frequency: Grant provided only once per academic year (1st August to 31st July).
Scope: Applicable for Original Research Articles, Meta-analysis, and Systematic Reviews.
APC Requirement: Applicable only if publication fees are charged by the journal.
Institutional Affiliation: Authors must mention “Dr. VPMCH & RC” in the manuscript.
Exclusions: Grammar checking, language editing, or plagiarism service costs are not covered.
Ethics: Must have prior approval from the Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC).
Refund: Grant must be refunded in case of retraction or ethical misconduct.

Documents Required

Submission
Submit application & documents to the Department of Research within 30 days of publication/acceptance.

Initial Screening
Department of Research verifies document authenticity and eligibility criteria.

Technical Review
The Research Coordinator reviews the manuscript indexing and plagiarism report.

Final Approval
Final sanction is granted by the Dean of the Institute.
