Summer Internship Program Started at Dr VPMCH& RC on 19th May 2025
The Summer Internship Program (SIP) is started at Dr. Vasantrao Pawar Medical College, Hospital and Research center, Nashik on 19th May 2025.The program is organized by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) at various centers across Maharashtra.
From this year i.e. 2025, we have started conducting SIP at our very own institute Dr. Vasantrao Pawar Medical College, Hospital and Research center, Nashik.
Programme is conducted and led by Nodal officer Dr. Tanuja Brahmankar, Assistant Professor in Dept. Community Medicine under the Guidance of Honorable Dean Dr. Sudhir Bhamre.
This year SIP is being conducted under 2 distinct goals:
1. HEALTH EDUCATION: Headed by Dr. Balaji Almale, Professor & Head of Dept. of Community medicine with intake capacity of 10 students.
2. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY: Headed by Dr Ashok Vankudre, Professor in Dept. of Community Medicine with intake capacity of 5 students.
Programme began on 19th May 2025 and will continue till 2nd June 2025 ( two weeks). Each day is packed with enriching sessions designed to equip our students with hands on experience and critical thinking. We have thoughtfully structured a detailed academic schedule for both the goals. Sessions will be conducted by esteemed faculty members of our institute.
INAUGURATION CEREMONY HIGHLIGHTS:
A formal inauguration was conducted on 21st May 2025.
The function commenced with the welcoming of Chief guests and dignitaries with saplings, reflecting the institution’s ethos of growth, sustainability, and lifelong learning.
● Lamp Lighting Ceremony & Saraswati Vandana:
The ceremony began with the traditional lamp lighting, signifying the dispelling of ignorance and the illumination of knowledge. This was accompanied by a Saraswati Vandana recited by Pooja Erandole (3rd Year MBBS), invoking blessings from the Goddess of Wisdom.
● Felicitation of SIP Interns by Dr. Sudhir Bhamre (Dean):
To encourage and motivate the interns, the Dean of Dr. VPMC Nashik, Dr. Sudhir Bhamre, felicitated the participants with roses, symbolizing a fresh and inspiring start to their journey.
● Orientation by Nodal officer & Vertical Heads:
Dr. Tanuja Brahmankar, Nodal Officer for SIP 2025, addressed the gathering with a welcome speech. She highlighted the importance of the programme in bridging academic learning with practical exposure and acknowledged the guidance of MUHS and the unwavering support of the Dean and faculty members. The vertical heads addressed the interns and explained the goals, structures and expected outcomes.
● Dean’s address:
Dean Sir addressed the SIP interns with words of encouragement, urging students to make the most of the two-week programme, running from 19th May to 2nd June 2025.
● Concluding the ceremony with Vote of Thanks:
Dr. Shital Patil (Asso. Prof) concluded the event with vote of thanks. The event set a positive tone for an interactive, enriching, and impactful internship experience.
